Death by Force

On July 19, 2024, at approximately 11:30 p.m., 23-year-old Bronx resident Buriama Silla was fatally shot in a drive-by incident. Silla was behind a residence on Teller Avenue near East 167th Street in the Melrose neighborhood when an unidentified individual in a black SUV fired a single shot, striking him in the torso. The assailant fled the scene immediately.
