On August 7, 2024, at approximately 9:46 p.m., 30-year-old Chad Lewars was found fatally shot in the backyard of a two-story residence located at 538 East 84th Street in the Canarsie neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. Officers from the 69th Precinct responded to a 911 call reporting a male shot at the scene. Upon arrival, they discovered Lewars lying on the ground, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his torso.
