In the quiet evening of January 9, 2023, the life of 17-year-old Darris Anderson Jr., a Black male, was tragically cut short in Ferguson, a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri. Around 9:30 p.m., police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Northwinds Estates Drive where they discovered the young man inside a vehicle, suffering from gunshot wounds.
