On March 5, 2023, 22-year-old Scott Russell Jones of Fenton, Missouri, tragically lost his life in an accidental shooting. The incident occurred while Jones and three others were waiting for their food in a Jack in the Box drive-thru located at 1208 North Desloge Drive. During this time, a 9mm handgun in the possession of 25-year-old Kyle Walters of Dittmer, Missouri, discharged, striking Jones in the back. Jones succumbed to his injuries that same day.
