On March 26, 2023, 14-year-old James Bond III was fatally shot in the 6800 block of Larry Lane in Berkeley, Missouri. Responding to reports of gunfire around 6:57 p.m., police found James in the front yard of a residence with a gunshot wound to the chest; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
