On July 20, 2023, 52-year-old George Robins was fatally shot outside a residence in the 1300 block of Shawmut Place in St. Louis' Hamilton Heights neighborhood. The incident began when occupants of a Hyundai Santa Fe engaged in an argument with a group on the street. During the confrontation, an object was thrown at the vehicle, shattering a window. In response, 25-year-old Tiffany L. Richardson exited the car and opened fire, striking Robins and injuring another man.
