On August 28, 2023, 45-year-old Frederick Jett was fatally shot during a robbery near Glen Owen Drive and Bahama Court in Ferguson, Missouri. Authorities responded to the scene after receiving an alert from ShotSpotter, a system that detects gunfire through microphones. Jett, who resided in the 1000 block of Geringer Court, approximately three miles from the incident location, was pronounced dead following the shooting.
