In the early hours of a Thursday morning in the Carondelet neighborhood of south St. Louis, the life of Jerome Allen Burna Dixon was tragically cut short. On May 9, 2024, the 33-year-old man was discovered in the backyard of a residence on Virginia Avenue, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the eye. The call to the police came at approximately 2 a.m., a time when the city was otherwise cloaked in the quiet of the night.
