On May 9, 2024, at approximately 2:00 a.m., 33-year-old Jerome Allen "Burna" Dixon was found with a fatal gunshot wound to the eye in the backyard of a residence in the 7300 block of Virginia Avenue, located in St. Louis' Carondelet neighborhood. Emergency responders transported him to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
