Cedric Owens, a 34-year-old resident of St. Louis, Missouri, tragically lost his life on September 20, 2021. Owens was attending a vigil near 20th and St. Charles Streets in downtown St. Louis to honor his niece's boyfriend, Demetrise Thomas, who had been shot and killed while attempting to stop individuals from breaking into cars.
