On September 9, 2023, 31-year-old Reginald G. Brandy Jr. and 30-year-old Denetrice Jackson were fatally shot while driving east on West Florissant Avenue near Buzz Westfall Drive in Jennings, Missouri. At approximately 12:45 p.m., an unknown assailant opened fire on their vehicle, causing it to come to a stop in the eastbound lanes. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
