On the night of September 30, 2023, at approximately 10:25 p.m., an altercation between two groups escalated into a deadly shooting at a QuikTrip gas station located at 7400 North Lindbergh Boulevard in Hazelwood, Missouri. During the incident, at least 70 gunshots were fired, resulting in the death of 18-year-old Charles Carbon IV, a passenger in a black Acura that had entered the parking lot shortly before the shooting.
