On the early morning of December 3, 2023, a violent domestic incident unfolded at a residence on East McPherson Street in Kirksville, Missouri. Law enforcement officers were dispatched to the home shortly after 1:19 a.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, police discovered 65-year-old male Steve Conyers suffering from critical injuries inside the house. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds during the altercation.
