On March 17, 2024, in Ballwin, Missouri, 39-year-old Stephanie Erin Bower Childs was fatally shot in her home during a domestic violence incident. Authorities responded to a call around 1 a.m. and found Stephanie with a gunshot wound to the head. She was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
