On the evening of March 19, 2007, a violent incident occurred in the Jeff-Vander-Lou neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri. Kellen Lamont Gillespie, a 26-year-old Black male, was in the 2600 block of Madison Street when he was targeted by gunfire. St. Louis police officers were dispatched to the scene following reports of the shooting on the city's Northside. Upon their arrival, authorities discovered Gillespie had sustained fatal injuries.
