On a Monday afternoon in November 2018, a senseless act of violence shattered the peace of a Catholic supply store in the St. Louis suburb of Ballwin, Missouri. A customer, 53-year-old Jamie Schmidt, a wife and mother of three from the nearby town of House Springs, was inside the store when a gunman entered.
