In the early hours of April 7, 2024, a shooting in the College Hill neighborhood of St. Louis claimed the life of 19-year-old Larrion Beckton. A Black male, Beckton was a resident of Florissant and a graduate of Hazelwood Central High School. Known to his friends and family by the nickname 'LBEE,' he was remembered for his vibrant personality.
Just after midnight, officers from the St.
Louis Metropolitan Police Department responded to a call reporting a shooting in the 4500 block of Blair Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered evidence of a shooting but did not find a victim at the scene. A short time later, a local hospital notified police that a man had arrived with gunshot wounds. That man was identified as Larrion Beckton, who unfortunately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The investigation into the death of Larrion Beckton is ongoing, and as of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department continues to seek information from the public that could lead to the identification and apprehension of any suspects involved in his death. His family held memorial services on April 19, 2024, and he was laid to rest at St. Peters Cemetery.
