Kayla Jo Hamby, a 33-year-old woman from Anderson, South Carolina, tragically lost her life on March 22, 2022, due to a gunshot wound to the head. The incident occurred at the Baymont Motel in Anderson, where Hamby was staying with her husband and two children. According to the Anderson County Coroner, Greg Shore, Hamby was found by deputies from the Anderson County Sheriff's Office around 11:30 p.m. on the night of the shooting.
