On May 18, 2024, 15-year-old Gerardo Perez from East St. Louis attended an illegal car meet, known as a "slideshow," in Bridgeton, Missouri. The event, which attracted over 100 vehicles, took place near Highway 141 and Corporate Woods Drive. Participants engaged in reckless driving and car stunts, creating a chaotic atmosphere.
