On the evening of April 28, 2018, 37-year-old Leroy D. Allen was attending a large gathering at Matthews Park on Ayrshire Drive in Bridgeton, Missouri. The event, which included numerous attendees, was suddenly interrupted by gunfire around 6:00 p.m. When authorities from the Bridgeton Police Department arrived at the scene, they discovered Allen inside the park suffering from fatal gunshot wounds.
