On May 31, 2024, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Kansas City police responded to reports of gunshots in the 600 block of East 110th Terrace. Upon arrival, officers discovered 23-year-old Ja’Carious Isaiah McKissic unresponsive in the front yard of a residence, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
