On the evening of April 16, 2024, a tragedy unfolded in a residential neighborhood of Kansas City, Missouri, claiming the life of a young child. Mari Lee Scott, a 5-year-old boy, was inside a home located near the intersection of 51st Street and Eastwood Trafficway when he reportedly discovered an unsecured firearm.
