On June 11, 2024, 49-year-old J.T. Hemphill was fatally shot during an altercation with his brother, David Hemphill, in north St. Louis County, Missouri. The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. in the front yard of David's residence on Moidart Circle. Earlier that day, the brothers had engaged in a physical confrontation, which escalated later that evening when J.T. visited David's home.
