On June 24, 2024, 57-year-old Wayne E. Gordon was fatally shot in Kansas City, Missouri. The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. near West 38th Street and Belleview Avenue in Midtown. Upon arrival, officers found Gordon in a stairwell of an apartment building, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
