On July 23, 2024, 54-year-old D La'Trice O'Hara was fatally shot in her Kansas City, Missouri, residence. Police responded to a call around 9:30 p.m. reporting a woman shot inside a home near Thompson and Booth Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found O'Hara with a gunshot wound to the head; she was transported to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
