On the morning of July 30, 2024, Kansas City police officers near East 55th Street and Paseo Boulevard heard multiple gunshots. Upon investigation, they discovered 25-year-old Anthony Canaday unresponsive outside a parked vehicle, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
