On August 24, 2024, at approximately 1:30 a.m., St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to a reported shooting inside a residence in the 5000 block of Ruskin Avenue, located in the Mark Twain neighborhood. Upon arrival, they discovered 19-year-old Ryan Alexander unresponsive with a gunshot wound. Emergency Medical Services pronounced him dead at the scene.
