On the evening of September 28, 2023, the sound of gunfire pierced the night in Camden, New Jersey, leading to the tragic death of 36-year-old Julian Dickerson. A Black male, Dickerson was found with gunshot wounds in the 900 block of Mechanic Street after police were alerted to the shooting by a ShotSpotter activation in the 1000 block of Liberty Street at approximately 9:03 p.m.
