In the early afternoon of October 4, 2024, a shooting at the Ramada by Wyndham hotel on Two Bridges Road in Fairfield, New Jersey, resulted in the death of 28-year-old Mohammad Sahariar Islam. Authorities received a 911 call about a disturbance at the hotel at approximately 12:27 p.m. Upon their arrival, Fairfield police discovered two male hotel employees with gunshot wounds.
