On the evening of October 18, 2024, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet of a Vineland, New Jersey neighborhood, leaving one man dead and another wounded. Mark A. Brown, a 30-year-old lifelong resident of the city, was discovered by police in the driver's seat of his vehicle on Southeast Boulevard, between Sherman and Grant avenues. He was unresponsive, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound.

Emergency responders rushed Brown to Inspira Medical Center, but his injuries proved too severe ...
