On February 14, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Bassett, Virginia, resulting in the death of 22-year-old Deshawn Marquis Ross. The shooting took place at approximately 6:50 pm at the Northview Garden Apartments located at 755 Stultz Road. When Henry County Sheriff's Office deputies arrived at the scene, they found Ross inside an apartment with critical injuries.
