On a winter afternoon in Martinsville, Virginia, the life of 20-year-old Jeremiah Jerron Turner, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On January 25, 2021, authorities received a call reporting gunshots at a residence on Lakewood Park Drive. When sheriff's deputies arrived, they found Turner deceased inside his home, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
