Michael Jerome Hairston, a 46-year-old male from Martinsville, Virginia, was found deceased in his apartment on Summit View Drive on October 23, 2023. A welfare check was initiated after he failed to show up for work. Upon entering the residence, deputies from the Henry County Sheriff's Office discovered Hairston's body. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner later determined that he had died from a gunshot wound to the head.
