On April 7, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Suffolk, Virginia, resulting in the death of David Joshua Gomes. Gomes, who was actually 37 years old at the time of his death, was found by police officers responding to a shooting call on Beech Street at approximately 7:32 p.m. When authorities arrived at the scene, they discovered Gomes suffering from a gunshot wound inside a home.
