On April 16, 2023, 40-year-old Seymour Oswald Burton Jr. was fatally shot in Richmond, Virginia. Born on October 14, 1982, in New York City, Seymour was known for his quiet and gentle nature, and he had a deep affection for animals, especially his dogs. He was the son of Seymour Oswald Burton Sr. and Stacy Michelle (née Harmon) Jones.
