In the spring of 2023, the life of 19-year-old Timothy D. Hicks of Sandston, Virginia, was tragically cut short. On the night of Saturday, April 22, 2023, an incident unfolded that would lead to his untimely death. Hicks was brought to the emergency room at VCU Health with a gunshot wound. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
He passed away on April 23, 2023.
The investigation into the shooting led Henrico County Police to a residence in the 3700 block of Whitlock Avenue, which was identified as the crime scene. Shortly after the incident, Henrico Police arrested 18-year-old William Lamonte Johnson of Henrico County. Following his arrest, Johnson was held without bond at the Henrico County jail as the investigation into the homicide continued.
