In the quiet neighborhood of Highland Springs, on the evening of April 23, 2023, the life of 37-year-old Trevell Hosea Archer, a Black male from Henrico, Virginia, was tragically cut short. Henrico County Police were called to the 700 block of Pleasant Street, near an elementary school, around 8 p.m. following multiple reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered Archer suffering from gunshot wounds. He was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal.
The day following the shooting, a significant development occurred in the case when 24-year-old Thristian Xavier Greene, also a resident of Henrico, turned himself in at the Henrico County Sheriff's Office. Greene's surrender led to his immediate arrest in connection with Archer's death. The investigation was still active, with detectives appealing to the public for any potential home security footage that might have captured the suspect or a vehicle involved in the incident.
Thristian Xavier Greene was subsequently charged with second-degree murder and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
