On August 11, 2007, Henrico Police responded to a reported shooting at the 7-11 convenience store located at 1 East Laburnum Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found 40-year-old Thomas Calvin Henderson suffering from gunshot wounds. Witnesses reported that Henderson was shot by a tall Black male as he exited the store. Henderson was transported to a hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
