On April 29, 2023, 18-year-old Jabari C. Smith was fatally shot in Norfolk, Virginia. The incident occurred around 4:50 a.m. in the 3300 block of East Princess Anne Road, near the intersection with Ingleside Road. Upon arrival, Norfolk police officers found Smith suffering from a gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
