Jonas Aaron Skinner, a 20-year-old male from Ashburn, was killed on May 29, 2023, in what authorities have described as a drug-related robbery that escalated to violence in Falls Church, Virginia. The incident unfolded in the laundry room of an apartment building on Pimmit Run Lane, where Skinner was discovered with a gunshot wound to his upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

In the parking lot of the same apartment complex, authorities found three other victims with stab wounds. One of them, 18-year-old Braden Deahl of Arlington, was transported to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The other two individuals, who were juveniles, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators believe that all the individuals involved were known to each other. A significant quantity of marijuana, believed to be connected to the homicides, was found nearby by K9 officers during a search of the area.

Following an investigation into the double homicide, several arrests were made. Initially, a 17-year-old was charged with robbery resulting in death. Later, detectives from the Major Crimes Bureau charged two more teenagers. A 17-year-old from Falls Church faced a litany of charges, including second-degree murder and use of a firearm. An 18-year-old from Vienna, who was a juvenile at the time of the offense, was arrested and charged with robbery causing death, felony murder, and conspiracy to commit robbery for his role in Skinner's death. Another 18-year-old from Falls Church, also a juvenile when the crime occurred, was charged with robbery causing death and principle in the second-degree murder, among other offenses. Additionally, Vladimir Garcia Montes, 18, of Falls Church, was held on charges of robbery resulting in death.
