On May 29, 2023, at approximately 3:37 p.m., Fairfax County police responded to reports of a shooting at an apartment complex in the 2200 block of Pimmit Run Lane in Falls Church, Virginia. Upon arrival, officers discovered 20-year-old Jonas Skinner, of Ashburn, Virginia, deceased in the laundry room with a gunshot wound to the upper body.
