Murdered

On July 6, 2023, 33-year-old Darrell Dante Morton, affectionately known as "Tae," was fatally shot near the Crater Square Apartments in Petersburg, Virginia. Police responded to reports of gunfire in the 1000 block of South Crater Road just before 2 a.m., where they discovered Morton's body at the scene. Neighbors reported hearing approximately 100 gunshots, and investigators found at least 50 evidence markers around the complex.
