In the autumn of 2020, the life of 33-year-old Kevin Delmarrio Williams was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire that also claimed the life of his friend, 30-year-old Johnathan T. King. The double homicide occurred on the evening of Monday, October 5, 2020, in the 900 block of Hinton Street in Petersburg, Virginia. At the time of the shooting, Williams and King were on a porch, gathered with family members.
