On April 4, 2024, 21-year-old Semaj YonTaè Abraham Cooper of Petersburg, Virginia, tragically lost his life. At approximately 5:45 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting and subsequent crash in the 100 block of St. Matthew Street.
