On August 9, 2023, 10-year-old La'Marj Deshawn Holden tragically lost his life in a shooting incident in Franklin, Virginia. The Franklin Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the 300 block of Artis Street around 3 p.m., discovering both Holden and a 37-year-old man with life-threatening injuries.
