On August 27, 2023, in Mount Jackson, Virginia, 51-year-old Jane L. Moomaw was tragically killed in a shooting incident. The event occurred around 2:45 a.m. in the 200 block of Orkney Drive, where four individuals were found with gunshot wounds. Among them, both Moomaw and 63-year-old Frederic S. Conrad were pronounced dead at the scene.
