Death by Force

On February 21, 2024, at approximately 10:50 a.m., Lynchburg Police Department officers responded to a reported malicious wounding at 1808 Locust Street. Upon arrival, they found 19-year-old Ma'Kayvia I'yana Cabell suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
