In a quiet Arlington, Virginia, apartment, a grim discovery was made, revealing a tragic end to the lives of two individuals. Nadejda Mossor, a 22-year-old woman, was found deceased in what authorities are investigating as a murder-suicide. The incident unfolded in the Pentagon City neighborhood, in a residence on the 500 block of 12th Street South.
Concern for the residents' welfare prompted a family member to request that building maintenance check on the apartment.
Upon entering the unit on the afternoon of March 5, 2024, maintenance personnel discovered the bodies and immediately alerted the Arlington County Police Department. When officers arrived at approximately 4:15 p.m., they found Mossor and 37-year-old Jason Han in a bedroom, both having sustained apparent gunshot wounds.
Preliminary investigations by law enforcement suggest that the deaths were the result of a domestic homicide-suicide. Authorities have stated that Mossor and Han were in a relationship. While the investigation remains active, police have indicated that this appears to be an isolated incident, with no ongoing threat to the community. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is tasked with determining the final cause and manner of death for both individuals. As of now, no arrests have been made, and there are no outstanding suspects, as the case is being treated as a murder-suicide involving only Mossor and Han.
