On March 31, 2024, Quayshawn Malik Witherspoon, a 32-year-old resident of Danville, Virginia, was fatally shot in an incident that has been classified as a homicide. The Danville Police Department responded to a shooting at approximately 1:20 p.m. at a residence located on Fairhaven Circle.
