On a Sunday afternoon in Danville, Virginia, a disagreement between two men sharing a residence escalated into a fatal act of violence. On March 31, 2024, Quayshawn Malik Witherspoon, a 32-year-old Black male, was shot multiple times inside a home in the 600 block of Fairhaven Circle. The Danville Police Department responded to the scene at approximately 1:20 p.m. and found Witherspoon with multiple gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
