On June 1, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in Hampton, Virginia, resulting in the death of 26-year-old Martez Johnson Corey. The shooting took place in the 500 block of Old Buckroe Road, located in the Buckroe Beach area of Hampton. Police officers responded to the scene shortly after 7:30 PM, where they found Corey fatally wounded.
