In the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 23, 2024, a report of a weapon discharge sent Waynesboro police officers to the 400 block of James Avenue. Upon their arrival at 9:02 a.m., they made a grim discovery on the front porch of a residence. Thirty-three-year-old Trevor Lamar Hill, a male resident of Waynesboro, was found deceased. The cause of his death was determined to be a fatal shooting.
