In the early hours of September 25, 2024, the life of 25-year-old Noah C. Campbell of Boston, VA, was tragically cut short. At approximately 3:34 AM, officers from the Culpeper Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the 1000-block of Virginia Avenue. Upon arrival, they found Noah Campbell with life-threatening injuries. Emergency medical services were dispatched to the scene and transported him to UVA Health Culpeper Medical Center, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The investigation into the shooting death of the male victim quickly became an active and ongoing homicide case. The Culpeper Police Department, with assistance from the Culpeper County Sheriff's Office and the Virginia State Police, began collecting evidence and seeking information from the public. A reward of up to $10,000 was offered for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of those involved. The investigation led to the identification of several suspects.
The first individual sought in connection with the murder was 18-year-old Jayden E. Penn of Culpeper, who was wanted on charges of first-degree murder and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. On March 20, 2025, a second suspect, 23-year-old Malik X.J. Towler of Culpeper, was arrested with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals. Towler faced charges of first-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, robbery resulting in death, and wearing a mask in certain places. He was held without bond at the Culpeper County Jail. The pursuit of justice continued, and on October 21, 2025, a third arrest was made. Alijah L. Robinson, 19, of Culpeper, was taken into custody with the help of the U.S. Marshals and Culpeper County Criminal Justice Services. Robinson was charged with first-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and conspiracy to commit robbery. He was also held without bond, at the Central Virginia Regional Jail. Authorities have indicated that the investigation remains active and that additional charges may be filed as they continue to seek justice for Noah Campbell and his family.
